My Matriculation at Winston Salem State University has definitely been adventurous to say the least. Thanks to my HBCU and the biology department I have been able to grow into the woman I am today I came in to the university as a shy freshman who was determined to go to medical school. It wasn't until I got inducted into Tri Beta National Biological Honor Society and met all sorts of professionals where I then decided to change my educational pathway. It wasn't until I applied, and was accepted to be a legacy leader where I found my leadership abilities and my voice, and I didn't know that I could teach until I was awarded the opportunity to be a teacher's assistant, and I didn't know there was so much more to life until I studied abroad to Nairobi, Kenya in Africa with this wonderful institution. I couldn't say thank you enough to everyone who's helped me grow. I'm forever humbled
